I come from the small town of Lorain, Ohio. However, I have traveled throughout America looking for my purpose in life. This story, “Life is an Adventure,” represents my journey and my search.
I went to college and graduated as a licensed art teacher. However, I have been drawing ever since I can remember. As a child and as an adult, I have always loved drawing comics with my sister Diane. Without her and my old high school art teacher, Mrs. Jensen, I doubt that I found my passion for comic illustration and painting with watercolors.
I also love working with clay, glass, metal, acrylic, oil, and found objects to create what I have considered ‘AbNormal Art,’ art that seems normal to me but usually a tad off beat to others. However, working with watercolors has a very special place in my heart. They’re travel-ready and very expressive, just like me.
This comic is hand drawn, inked and painted, and it’s filled with a message I hope you all enjoy. And as my friend Molly said when she dropped me off at Appalachian Trail, “If we all supported one another instead of putting each other down, the world would be better a place.”
